Our Story

Syzygy Mushrooms was founded in 2025 in Bend, OR, but the dream began much earlier. Kyle first became interested in mushrooms after a psychedelic experience that stimulated his spiritual curiosity and a desire for deeper connection to the planet. This set him off on his path of healing.

After years of taking anti-depressants and ADHD medications, Kyle felt bereft of emotion and physically drained. Functional and active mushrooms helped him regain his faculties and vitality. After further incubation and years of working in the medical field, he decided he wanted to create a mushroom company that fostered healing of the people as well as the planet.

His vision is to create the highest quality extracts possible, operate with complete transparency, and to utilize his skillsets to partner with non-profits in the community working to better the lives of people and the planet.

Syzygy /ˈsizəjē/

Syzygy is a word that represents the harmonious alignment of opposing forces and the conjunction of differing parts. It symbolizes a state of wholeness within a system.

We see a resonance between this idea and our mission.

Mushrooms are the balancers of nature, bringing harmony to the ecology within which they reside. They are the conduit between life and death, breaking down what has passed, and allowing for the creation of something new.

Syzygy Mushrooms is an interface that brings harmony, healing, and connection through the power of mushrooms.

The body is not so much a single object as it is an equilibrium of many living parts, always in flux. We believe in the power of mushrooms to help maintain this equilibrium by supporting our many biological systems. Mushrooms are medicine by nature's design. Our goal is to harness their potential to share with you, so that you can find balance between mind, body, and soul.

Just as the body is a collective of working parts, our community is a collective of individuals, emerging as one. We fiercely believe in advocating for the wellbeing of our community and the way we interface with the planet.
